  • The Manhattan Club at Rosie O'Grady's 800 7th Avenue New York, NY, 10019 United States (map)

“From Finland to Stardom: An Evening with Taina Elg,” she shares her memories and experiences on stage and screen. Through anecdotes and film clips Elg offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse of life as a young star at MGM Studios and life in Hollywood. She speaks candidly of her experiences and touches on her view of the film industry today.

Elg, who won two Golden Globes, including one for her role in the 1957 film Les Girls starring Gene Kelly, tells her story in an intimate interview format conducted by Heli Sirviö, a Finnish television and stage actress and our Vice President.
