FF NYMC wishes to congratulate our 2018 Scholarship Recipients: Zakari Kujala, Emma Mulhern, Aino Larsen, Kyle Korkko, Anna Keltner, Kitty Raiha, Maj Solveig Jantunen, Tim Haglund, Moa Brunstrom, Andrej Selanniemi, William Bellamy, Nina Ohman, Maija Hietalampi, Seth Dahl, Mitchelle Loukusa, Jannike Soderman, Sabina Rajalin and Alexis Anttila. Grants are given to Kristina Vänni, Tarja Tuppurainen and Johanna Telander.

The Finlandia Foundation New York Metropolitan Chapter has a distinguished record of awarding scholarships to qualified individuals for study in the United States and Finland in such fields as: science, medicine, business, music, art, history, education, and Finnish studies.

Scholarships for American students who are conducting research in Finland or Finnish related subjects in U.S., and Finnish students studying in U.S. will be considered.
 All grants are intended for study or research at an accredited institution for the ensuing academic year, and are in the amount of $500 to $5,000. To date, more than $500,000 in scholarships have been awarded from the following endowments:

The John A. Pihlman and Annie E. Wikander Scholarship Fund Provides financial assistance to American students who wish to study in Finland and Finnish students who wish to combine study in Finland and the United States.
The Tyyni Kalervo Scholarship Fund Provides financial assistance primarily for students from Finland, wishing to pursue higher education in the United States
The Jean Sibelius Memorial Fund Open to qualified applicants whose goals require the study of Finnish Arts.
The New York Metropolitan Chapter Scholarship Fund Provides scholarships to persons preferably of Finnish heritage.
